Where To Find Free MLM Leads

**From The Office of Lynne and Chad, Online Business and Marketing Coaches**

As rewarding as the network marketing industry can be, if you aren't generating enough leads for your business, you'll have a lot of headaches.

What are the two primary needs shared by all network marketers? More cash and more leads. Well, there are many free marketing strategies you can implement to get more prospects for your business.

That being said, here is something to keep in mind: there is usually a trade off involved when selecting marketing techniques. If a strategy is inexpensive or even free, you will probably need to invest extra time to make it effective.

How Can You Find Free MLM Leads?

Article Marketing

You can write, right? Article marketing can be a very successful, long-term, free marketing strategy for your network marketing or MLM business. There are a number of important things take into consideration with this strategy...

  • What keywords are you going to write about?
  • Your article needs to be posted online, but where? Is this post going on a blog or site you own? Or on another site online somewhere.?
  • How will you go about extending the reach of your article?

Effective article marketing takes more than just putting up an article on a random subject and hoping for the best. You should definitely have answers to the questions above so you are getting the most out of the time you expend writing.

Video Marketing

This can be SUCH a powerful and successful way to market, but again, only if you know what you are doing. Most people think video marketing is making a handful of videos and placing them up on YouTube. If this is all you do, you're just not getting enough out of your video making labors - and you happen to be leaving a LOT of cash on the table!

Forum Marketing

One of the best niches to go after when generating leads is other network marketers - and forums can be a great spot to meet them. It is important though, that you do not join forums and just pitch your business. That is the quickest way to ruin your reputation on that forum.

If you are going to make use of this marketing strategy, it's important that you keep a few things in mind:

  1. Don't try to sell people on your online business opportunity.
  2. Fill out our profile. Demonstrate that you're a real person, and not only someone doing this to make sales.
  3. Do add an avatar if allowed.
  4. Do join the discussion and contribute value.
  5.  Stay away from posting links in the body of your post (unless that link is part of the point you are making). Affiliate/Capture page links ALWAYS go in your signature file.
  6. Point your links in your signature to a blog or personally branded capture page. No generic company websites here. If someone took the time to visit your link, they are interested in you, not your company's generic website.
  7. Be consistent and be patient.
  8. Join forums that are active and get a good amount of traffic.

Social Media Marketing

Social media is HUGE. Sites like Twitter and Facebook (and many others) can offer substantial leads for your business, if you do it the appropriate way. Just make sure you aren't running around spamming people about your opportunity. Are you seeing the pattern here yet?

Try to think of your online relations the same way you would think of in person introductions. How would you react if the first time you met someone, say at a party, they introduced themselves and followed up with "So, you want to discover ways to make a ton of money from home?" I'm guessing you'd try to find a way out of that conversation in a hurry.

Why would anyone want to work in this way on social media? It doesn't work like that. It's important to forge relationships and provide people with value. Period. Your friends will begin to see you as a leader and will seek out whatever opportunity you have to offer when the time is right. Again: no links to generic company websites in your profile here!

Well, this should be a good start for you! Just keep in mind these important points:

1. These tactics can take time, so be patient and be consistent.
2. Trying to tackle all of these at once is a recipe for failure. Take some time to master one strategy at a time before adding a different one into the mix.

Trying to become a master at all of these different strategies would be enough to burn anyone out. Things will go much more smoothly if you tackle one strategy at a time and gradually expand your marketing arsenal.
